Most world countries get a lot of revenue from certain animal species which are now endangered by increasing human
activity brought about by an ever-increasing population. But the question is; what can we do about these endangered
animals so that we can continue getting pleasure from them for the sake of the biosphere's survival as well as diversity?
Even though there is a good number of conservationists around the globe that try finding and executing different
methods to safeguard the endangered animal species, not enough has been done to save the situation. People as well
as governments have come with different protection strategies some of which have worked and others have failed to
meet the set objectives.
One of such ways to protect our precious animal species is obtaining new information on a certain species that either
lacks enough data or no efforts have been made to find out the data. This helps in understanding factors affecting some
species, their weaknesses, for instance, regarding their reactions to different climates among other aspects vital
towards the protecting of the endangered animal species. Once the underlying factors of endangerment are disclosed,
it's easy to brainstorm and generate viable solutions to salvage the situation. For those who have tried, it might not be
as simple as it sounds.
Endangered animals can also be protected by the government. The government does this by using national agency
investment programs as well as protection laws. It should donate money to institutions or organizations whose core
objective is protecting these endangered species; without government support, it's hard for these organizations to
achieve their objectives. The government should acknowledge that some animal species are endangered and take
action to protect them by supporting such organizations. Ecologists have always suggested ways of saving endangered
species, but so little has been done by relevant authorities.
Many other alternatives of safeguarding endangered animal species exist and the success only depends on the will by
both individuals and the government and the question; "what can we do about endangered species"? will be buried in
the books of history.
