Tips On Buying Australian Labradoodles

By Susan Fisher

People who love dogs usually have hard time deciding what breed to keep. This is because each breed has its own positives and negatives. Australian Labradoodles shed little hair, and are intelligent which means they are quick learners. They are also affectionate and kind to people as well as other pets. They are playful and when like participating in canine sports. These are some of the reasons which make them a good choice for new owners.

As mentioned each breed of dog has its negatives. Here are the negatives of ladradoodles. One thing that makes it expensive to keep them is the high maintenance in terms of grooming. As a result of being so smart they also engage in mischief at times. The other thing is that since they are high energy they require a lot of both exercise and attention. Just like most breeds they suffer from hereditary health issues.

This breed emerged as a result of crossbreeding Labrador retrievers and miniature or as they were commonly known, standard poodles. They were bred first in the mid-1950s and their purpose was to serve as assistant dogs, but with time, they have become more and more useful. Their popularity has grown with time as compared to the past where only few people knew about them.

This breed comes in varying sizes, heights and colors. Littermates may have distinctive appearances, although they inherit most of the traits, looks and characteristics from their parents. Despite this, the kind of dog that a puppy grows into is determined by many factors. This includes, generation, breeding parent, and training.

As any other dog, a labradoodle requires training. This should be done at a very tender age to enable them understand the training and keep it as they grow. They are to be taught that unnecessary barking is not good and they will grow knowing that. They should be trained in order to fit in the family setting and this can only be done form a tender age compared to when they are of age.

Most people seem to miss the fact that labradoodles are not natural watchdogs. This is not to mean that they will not raise alarm when suspicious activities occur in their surroundings. Owners should expect them to raise alarm when a stranger is about. They are usually quick to socialize with strangers once they have been introduced.

Caring for a puppy is pretty easy provided a person knows what should be done. When getting a puppy ensure there is someone around for it due during the first week of arrival. This is to prevent them from feeling alone and bewildered after leaving their littermates and mothers. Ensure the transition is smooth and easier for them to cope with.

The important things to consider when buying a dog must be observed. This includes asking all relevant questions and asking to be provided with all vital information. Demand to see a puppy together with its mother and avoid being shown images as proof. Only scammers try to sell unseen puppies to buyers without providing genuine information.
