Why You Should Go For Cavachon Puppies

By Matthew Howard

The cavachon breed of dogs is a combination of two kinds of breeds; the Cavalier Spaniel and the Bichon Frise. They are particularly bred to stay with humans and due to their small size; they can never act at watch dogs. However, in case a visitor comes to your home, these dogs will give you a warning. No matter the warning of an intruder, the dog will soon smile at him owed to its friendly nature. Disused below are a few reasons you must get cavachon puppies and not any other breed.

The coating of these dogs is normally white, but there are those that have a mixture of peach, white and brown fur. Unlike the other tiny dog breeds, these kinds are very strong and have a muscular frame. Due to their small size, they are prone to health problems like hip dysplasia or joint problems.

This breed is referred to one that loves pleasing people. Thus, they are never happy if left alone for lengthy periods. This is usually not an issue with most pet owners because the dogs are very easy to carry wherever you go.

Similar to other types of pets, this one is going to need frequent bathing, combing and trimming to keep fur knotting and skin irritations away. This combing must be done on a day to day basis to reduce the number of knots forming. While most dogs will make grooming time appear like a nightmare, these dogs love being bathed, primped, trimmed and combed. They feel wonderful when you do anything that ensures that they smell and look beautiful. The nails should be clipped often and the ears kept dry and clean to prevent any ear infections.

Just like the other dogs, this breed should also undergo training to behave well. Because of its willingness to entertain the owner, the cavachon learns faster than other puppies. Thus, for the pet, training is a fun event. Firmness, consistency, gentleness and kindness must be assured during the training periods. Make your authority known to your pet but avoid yelling, hitting and punishing it. Instead, use positive methods of reinforcement like giving treats once the dog follows your orders.

This is a bouncy, active and very lively breed. Nonetheless, the exercises should be minimal. Because of their love for chasing things, the game of fetch and taking short walks will just be enough. This is the kind of dog that will thrive well in small homes.

If you have a yard where the pet can play in, ensure that it does not stray all alone and every time it is being supervised. When the weather is very cold, make sure that your pet is warm inside the house. The best feature of this pet is that even when left alone, it knows how to keep itself busy and play.

Since this dog is a moderate eater, you should not serve huge meals at a single time. You should rather spread out the meals into two or three phases of small servings of food every time. These puppies love treats and will sit beside you while eating and tempt you to feed it with its irresistibly charming eyes. You should not fall for this trap since these breeds are susceptible to obesity when overfed.
