Satisfaction With All Natural Dog Treats

By Olive Pate

Pet owners in Wurtsboro, NY are tired of their beloved pets being exposed to unhealthy treats and snacks. Sometimes purchasing over-the-counter snacks can cause owners to get more than what they know. It was only a couple of years ago that it was found that some popular dog treats contained antibiotics that were harmful to pets. Pets deserve all natural dog treats that are good for them and puts their owners at ease.

Many find it hard to believe that their pets really do like vegetable and fruits. On the contrary, every fruit isn't for every type of animal. For example, grapes aren't considered a good snack due to their toxicity. Also, snacks are only supposed to be 8-to-10 percent of an animal's diet. So, when animals do get a snack, it needs to be something that's healthy and nutritious.

One vegetable that has proven to be a pet favorite are carrots. Carrots are usually liked by everyone because they are crunchy and sweet. Carrots are great, especially when frozen. They help to keep teeth clean and pets cool during the hot summer months. If a dog isn't too fond of them, owners are then encouraged to grate them and add them to a meal. What they don't know will definitely not hurt them!

Apples aren't bad either. Everyone knows that if one a day helps in keeping doctors away, there's no telling what nutritious benefits they offer to dogs. However, it's always best practice to purchase apples that are organic in nature to keep away harmful pesticides from one's pet. Safety first!

Don't forget about the wonderful properties of kale. That's right! Dogs do like the healthy snack, whether cooked or uncooked. This super food has wonderful anticancer compounds that work great in keeping both humans and pets healthy. It's not just a garnish anymore!

There's a particular vegetable that just calls to dogs in a garden environment known as squash. Squash is such a treat for animals because they enjoy the texture and the natural sweetness that can be found in this vegetable. It is similar to that of a pumpkin. Pumpkins are great because they aid in digestion and helping those animals that suffer with constipation.

Green vegetables are popular such as green beans, cucumbers, and zucchini. Green beans are great snacks as long as salt and other additives are avoided. Cucumbers and zucchini are also good as long as they are peeled and given in chewable portions.

One simply can't forget about the egg. Even though eggs are known for being contributors of high cholesterol, they have a very just the right amount of fats, nutrients, and proteins. They also aid in keeping the family pet's coat all nice and shiny!

Healthy snacks are great for pet owners that want their pets to be healthy and full of life. Just because a snack is natural, doesn't mean that it has to taste bad. Usually, if a human being likes the taste, pets may find them to be just as popular.
